Pee Cee moves up to Antilla

The actress along with Rajkumar Hirani was at the helm of affairs at a glittering bash for Sachin Tendulkar hosted by the Ambanis

This could not have been better timed for a beleaguered Priyanka Chopra. On Monday, the cream from Bollywood, sports, business, politics and culture gathered to congratulate Sachin Tendulkar at a glittering bash hosted by Mukesh and Nita Ambani. And the Ambanis chose Pee Cee and Rajkumar Hirani to entertain the guests, anchor the show and plan the bash that stretched well into the wee hours of the morning.

Interestingly, among the audience were several of the actress' former friends, who are no more cordial with her. And there were those who are working with her as well. And if eye witnesses are to be believed, it turned out to be a fantastic opportunity for Pee Cee to let the world know that she may be down, but not out. Especially not with powerful well wishers like the world's richest and most influential behind her. And the intelligent girl that she is, Pee Cee
made the most of it.

A source from the party revealed to Mirror, "Priyanka was at the helm of things. Around three-four days back, Nita Ambani called her and Raju Hirani, and apprised them of her plans to throw a party for batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar. She also requested them to take over the party and plan everything. Priyanka had been shooting for Krrish 3 and every day after pack up, Raju and Priyanka met and planned every thing to the last detail."

At Antilla, the actress wore a form-fitting pink and silver outfit, and regaled the audience. The Mumbai Indians team had made a special audio visual presentation for Sachin. Pee Cee took charge of the mic and provided the cue for other cricketers to share their feelings and anecdotes about Tendulkar.

After the tributes, it was time for the cake cutting and champagne popping, and conversation that flowed freely till 5 am. According to the source, the sequence of events was planned by Pee Cee and Hirani, including the order of speakers.

Interestingly, while Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, the Bachchans were among the Bollywood A-listers who were part of Pee Cee's audience, the SRK camp was conspicuous by its absence.
